Silence is not the absence of sound, but the absence of self.

Anthony de Mello

I, I and more I….the voice in my head.  It is a gift to let go and “be” for a moment.  The scanning, the wondering, the planning are ever present.  There are times when the “I” of the body meldes into all; an absence of definition.  The breath keeps the “I” here (sensations of the body) and other parts can let go in the stillness/silence.  The “I” finds this interesting.  Ultimately, the “I” is constant in mind and body; it’s just nice to moments when parts are silent.
I find mindfulness meditation supports my intention to be silent….if only for a moment.
